Terry Young, RDC

Terry Young, RDC

Sr. Terry began to explore art with pencil sketches, followed by oil paint and pastels. Many years later, Sister experimented with watercolors, and now enjoys all art forms.  Sister once told her best friend, her mother, that she wished she would have studied art instead of science. Her mother advised, "Be the artist of your soul."  Sister believes everyone is an artist of their soul, always creating newness without and within. Sister continues to learn from all kinds of people to be an artist of whatever kind she can be. Sr. Terry learns from writers, thinkers, speakers, strangers and friends, as well as "friends" she discovers in books and at gatherings.  "Learning comes from all people, from near and far away in time and in foreign distant places," Sr. Terry explains.

Sr. Pat Sheridan

Pat Sheridan, RDC

For Sr. Pat Sheridan, art is in her DNA. Sr. Pat’s mother was very artistic and creative. She was musical. She painted and sewed, as well.  As a child, Sr. Pat always enjoyed art projects in school; however, it was at summer camp when Sister began to explore art more.

Betty Ann Clifford, RDC

Sr. Betty Ann describes her photography as a gift from God.  Sister explains, "When you lose your breath upon seeing snow gracefully covering the boughs of fir trees and individually encasing each needle of the pine branch you whisper your Thanks to God who created that beauty."

Fran Liston, RDC

Fran Liston, RDC

Sr. Fran was initially drawn to the arts as a young child when she received a letter from Santa Claus with a sketch (drawn by her brother). Sister showed the sketch to everybody and copied it multiple times.

The Plan

In these turbulent times it is very easy to believe that we are unimportant as individual people. The issues we live with, the problems that seem insurmountable confront us all the time. Terry Young offers us hope and perspectives needed to go on.

Can I Hear Myself?

Do you hear what I hear?
Have I listened to myself, lately...
