Fran Liston, RDC

Fran Liston, RDC

As a teenager, Sr. Fran was asked by a local summer camp director to do calligraphy project for them. Sister also carved a circular wooden sign indented with a profile of a Native American. She loved the work! In college, Sister was required to engage with theater as part of her English major. She was assigned to staging, and learned how to design, paint and build stage sets.  As an RDC novice, Sr. Fran was assigned to Good Counsel Academy High School, where she was mentored and prepared to teach art at Preston High School.  Art remains an expression of her spirituality.

Sr. Pat Sheridan

Pat Sheridan, RDC

For Sr. Pat Sheridan, art is in her DNA. Sr. Pat’s mother was very artistic and creative. She was musical. She painted and sewed, as well.  As a child, Sr. Pat always enjoyed art projects in school; however, it was at summer camp when Sister began to explore art more.

Betty Ann Clifford, RDC

Sr. Betty Ann describes her photography as a gift from God.  Sister explains, "When you lose your breath upon seeing snow gracefully covering the boughs of fir trees and individually encasing each needle of the pine branch you whisper your Thanks to God who created that beauty."

Terry Young, RDC

Terry Young, RDC

Oil painting, drawing, pastels, watercolor, colored pencils, and more. Looking across the classroom in eighth grade, Sr. Terry noticed a classmate doing a pencil sketch, and she thought she could do that, as well.  And so she did, and that was how it all started.
