The Sisters of the Divine Compassion are especially grateful to our dear friends and benefactors for your unwavering love and support of our mission. Together with our devoted Associates and Companions, we remain a responsive, collaborative, mission-focused Community.
“God has been so good as to put the Divine Compassion into our hands
so that we might go and give it to others.”
Our partnership with donors is an important part of our history and our future. For more than 135 years, our friends have continually supported our mission. As our partners and collaborators, donors are significant participants in the ongoing ministry of our founder, Mother Mary Veronica, in creating a world that values empowerment, justice,
non-violence, and respect for diversity in all people.
We thank you for your generosity to the Divine Compassion Community.
Donations to the Sisters of the Divine Compassion may be by cash, check, credit card, or wire transfer on a onetime or monthly basis. Gifts can be made online, through the mail, or by contacting the Advancement Office.
Many of our donors have joined ‘Partners in Compassion’ providing steady and foreseeable income to the Sisters of the Divine Compassion. Their names appear on our ‘Partners in Compassion’ honor roll and members will receive three prayer card enrollments annually. Membership can begin at any time and during any campaign.
This campaign raises unrestricted funds to support the Religious of the Divine Compassion enabling the Sisters to sustain and strengthen their mission.
We invite you to consider a planned gift through your will that supports the ongoing mission of the Sisters of the Divine Compassion and enable the donor to perpetuate their giving into the future. Planned Giving can be designated through: gift annuities, life insurance, real estate, bequests, stocks, appreciated securities, and charitable trusts. A bequest can be given as a ‘designated’ or ‘undesignated’ gift, according to the donors wishes.
Prayer Enrollments and Memorial Cards help the Sisters of the Divine Compassion fulfill their commitment to their mission and ministries. Service through prayer is of the greatest importance to the Sisters. The Divine Compassion Community of 79 Sisters and 70 Associates and Companions hold all those enrolled in their personal and communal prayers each day, as well as at daily Mass, Sunday liturgies and in their ministries of compassion. With the assistance of the Pastoral Care Ministry, prayer enrollment names are also delivered to our sisters in nursing homes and hospitals to ensure these Sisters of the Divine Compassion hold the persons in their prayers and daily liturgies. Prayer Enrollments may be requested for the living or the deceased.
Memorial contributions are greatly appreciated. Celebrate a momentous occasion with a donation in honor of or in memory of loved ones or friends. These gifts regardless of size help the Sisters fulfill their commitment to their mission and ministries.
