RDC Statement on the Verdict about Derek Chauvin

Posted April 23, 2021

George Floyd family reacts to Derek Chauvin trial.

The Sisters of the Divine Compassion stand in solidarity with all who condemn violence of any kind and who work tirelessly for justice.  We continue to hold Mr. Floyd's family, friends and all who mourn him, as well as Ma'Khia Bryant and Daunte Wright and their families in our prayers. We pray, too, for the Chauvin family. We commit ourselves to pray and work for understanding and justice to end racial injustice and discrimination and the violence to which they lead.
