For more than twenty years, Sister had been an administrator at three colleges – all on the same campus – Good Counsel College, the College of White Plains and Pace University. She served in the finance office, the bursar’s office and at Pace Law School, but her fondest memories are the years she spent as a Residence Hall Director, living among the college students in Dannat Hall. During this time, Sr. Felicitas also earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees at Good Counsel College and Pace University.
After two decades in college administration, Sr. Felicitas “retired,” to become the Co-Director of the Divine Compassion Spirituality Center, organizing retreats at the Divine Compassion Convent. Sister traveled to Trinidad to teach at an all-girls high school, and worked on various community projects in Dover Plains and Goshen, New York.
Currently, Sr. Felicitas is the Hospitality Coordinator on the RDC Advancement Team, and also serves as Sacristan, coordinating liturgies, reunions, weddings and funeral Masses at the Chapel of the Divine Compassion.
Throughout her ministry, Sister has volunteered with service organizations, such as Lifting Up Westchester, in soup kitchens, shelters, hospitals and more. She also volunteers for special events and various projects at Wartburg where she lives among 22 other RDCs. She helped create an in-house store where residents can shop for amenities. Sr. Felicitas is also a member of the Board of the Mansion-on-Broadway’s Social Club, dedicated to raising funds for those in need and nonprofit service organizations.
With her heart of gold, Sr. Felicitas lights up a room wherever she goes. She loves spending time and making connections with everyone she meets. We honor Sr. Felicitas for all of her work and dedication as a Sister of the Divine Compassion, and hope you will join us in celebrating and thanking Sister for all the joy, love and compassion she brings to so many!
