Sr. Mary Charlotte Brennan, RDC.

Sr. Mary Charlotte Brennan, RDC

Sister Mary Charlotte Brennan, RDC (Mary Ann Brennan), a Sister of the Divine Compassion, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2020 after a long illness.

Sr. Charlotte was born in New York City in 1937 the daughter of Thomas Brennan and Julia Kunsch Brennan. Sister attended Holy Rosary Elementary School and Preston High School both in the Bronx, and Good Counsel College in White Plains where she earned a BA in English. Sister also received her MSL in Library Science from St. John’s University in Queens, NY.

Sr. Janet Meehan, RDC

Sr. Janet Meehan, RDC (formerly known as Sr. Mary Leonard), a Sister of the Divine Compassion, died peacefully on June 17, 2020.

Sr. Janet was born in Westchester in 1941, the daughter of John and Louise (Cancro) Meehan.  She attended Hawthorne Public Schools and graduated from Good Counsel Academy High School. Sister received her BA from Good Counsel College in White Plains and her MA in Fine Arts from the University of Notre Dame.

Sr. Margaret Keogan, RDC

Sr. Margaret Keogan, RDC, (formerly known as Sr. Mary Beatrice) a Sister of the Divine Compassion, died peacefully on April 28, 2020.

Sr. Margaret was born in New York in 1933, the daughter of John and Bridget (Leonard) Keogan.  She attended Our Lady of Mercy Elementary School in Port Chester, NY and Good Counsel High School in White Plains, NY.  Sister received her BA in English from Good Counsel College in White Plains.

Sr. Lucille Bridgetts, RDC

Sr. Mary Lucille Bridgetts, RDC, (formerly known as Alice Bridgetts,) a Sister of the Divine Compassion, died peacefully on April 24, 2020.

Sr. Lucille was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1923, the daughter of Harry and Lucy (Watson) Bridgetts. She attended Good Counsel Academy Elementary School and High School in White Plains, NY. Sister received her BA in French from Good Counsel College in White Plains and her MA in French from Villanova University.

Sr. Susan Greene, RDC

Sr. Susan Greene, RDC, (formerly known as Sr. Mary Theophane), a Sister of the Divine Compassion, died peacefully on April 17, 2020.

Sr. Marie Murphy, RDC

Sr. Marie Murphy, RDC (formerly known as Sr. Mary de Chantal), a Sister of the Divine Compassion, died peacefully on April 13, 2020.

Sr. Marie was born in the Bronx in 1933, the daughter of John and Mary (Fegan) Murphy.  She attended St. Frances de Chantal Elementary School, Bronx, NY and St. Jean Baptiste High School, New York, New York. Sister received her BA from Good Counsel College in White Plains and her MA from St. Joseph’s College.

Sr. Clare Arenholz, RDC

Sr. Mary Clare Arenholz, RDC, (formerly known as Eleanor Arenholz), a Sister of the Divine Compassion, died peacefully on March 29, 2020.

Sr. Clare was born in New York 1938, the daughter of James and Eleanor (Rechel) Arenholz.  She attended St. Frances de Chantal Elementary School and Preston High School in the Bronx. Sister received her BA from Good Counsel College in White Plains and her MA in Special Ed. from Seton Hall University.

Sr. Theresa Kelley, RDC

Sister Theresa Kelley, RDC, formerly known as Sister Mary Edward, a Sister of the Divine Compassion, died peacefully at St. Cabrini Residence on February 29.

Sister was born December 12, 1925 in Auburn, NY, the daughter of James and Margaret (Cunnan) Kelley. She attended Holy Family Catholic High School, received her BA from Good Counsel College and an MS in Special Education from the College of New Rochelle. Sister also received certification as a School Administrator and Reading Specialist.
