Who We Are

We are a community of vowed women religious, associates, and companions who with our colleagues, families and friends, staff, former sisters, students, clients and all with whom we minister share in the journey and mission of the Divine Compassion.

Our Mission Statement

Empowered by God’s love, we are called to be the compassionate presence of God in the world.

Touched by God’s mercy, we are called to be life giving women of prayer who respond to the signs of the times by embracing the suffering of others, and bringing God’s healing love to them.

Our Vision

“This is not a mere name; it is a great, a grand reality. In it is contained all we hope to be...”

Monsignor Thomas Preston

Touched by God’s compassion, we build communities that transform ourselves and our world. Trusting in Divine Compassion, we seek to: be co-creators of God’s evolving universe, liberate and heal God’s people, challenge injustice, and offer the gift of hope to our world.

In partnership with women and men committed to the Gospel and our charism...our commitment calls us to enable liberation and empowerment of people, especially women and children, and those marginalized, oppressed and paralyzed by lack of resources. This is our vision that cries out to become a reality. This is our time, our only time, and Compassion is our gift.

Our Core Values

We value:

  • Our charism of compassion: embracing suffering and brokenness, leading to healing, empowerment, justice and peace.
  • Right relationships: with our God, ourselves, each other, our world and all creation.
  • Deepening spirituality and life-long learning: contemplation and authentic dialogue leading to personal and communal transformation.
  • Creating community: where individual uniqueness and gifts, interdependence and diversity are welcomed and celebrated.
  • Collaboration: mutuality and respect strengthen relationships for mission and the common good.
